Selecting the right digital voice recorder |
|
Shopping for a digital voice recorder can be a frustrating experience if you
let it. As with any consumer good there are going to be many features
to learn about and decisions to make. Let us save you time and energy
by giving you a quick lesson in what to consider before making your
purchase. |
|
|
Quality "Ours is better than theirs......" |
| Of
course it would be counter-productive for anyone to tell you their digital
voice recorders are in any way inferior to the competition. Don't
always believe what you read. Verify the facts. The truth is
that there are many high quality units on the market and just as many low
quality units. It's up to you to decide what's important and what you
expect out of the equipment you invest in and what company you pay your
money to. Trusting the company you deal with is of utmost importance. |

The least you need to know |
|
Digital voice recorders have come a LONG way in the past 5 years. When
we first started selling them in 1998 we were thrilled that the dawn of
digital had arrived and standard cassette tapes would soon be phased out.
The first digital recorders we sold can
only be described as novelty items. Much was left to be desired in the
way of features and user friendly operation. Cost was prohibitive and
customers were left with a sense of disappointment. We took a hiatus
from digital for a few years while the industry caught up with technology. |
|
|
Digital gets a makeover |
| Every
audio media from reel to reel, 8 tracks, cassettes, CD's, and DVD's, has
been an improvement on existing technology and it's no different with
digital. Today's recorders are much smaller and deliver
higher quality audio than their predecessors. We are proud to offer
our customers some of the best equipment ever invented. Rest assured
that every unit we sell is field tested by demanding professionals. |

What are you recording? |
|
DVRs come with a variety of features and functions.
It would be in your best interest to study the features of each unit so that
you walk away with a recorder with will benefit you the most.
Newspaper reporters would benefit from a
recorder that a student might not. Police Officers and Private
Investigators, who use recorders on a daily basis, might need something a
little more durable than most. The business executive might need the
capability to record cell phone calls as well as phone calls from a office
and a home phone. Each individual is different and we try to offer the
best recorders money can buy. |
